About
"I was endlessly proud of my Grandma Shirley, who swam every day well into her 90s, her strength and spirit an inspiration to us all. Each summer, I spent cherished days with her and four generations of my family on Masten Lake in upstate New York. There, on morning waters flat as glass and beneath purple twilight skies, I learned to swim, to dive, to waterski—discovering the thrill of movement and the beauty of freedom. As I grew older, I also learned something deeper: how to feel comfortable and confident in my own skin, embracing the simple joy of being in a bathing suit as a woman, shaped by those summers at the lake. Each Masten suit is named after a woman who has profoundly shaped my life with her spirit, love, and style. These designs are archetypes, a small homage to the depth and complexity of their characters." -Lauren Starobin
